MEET OUR DIRECTOR

Torri McCullough “Coach Mac”  brings his experience, expertise, leadership and coaching skills to Beaufort Elite Volleyball Club as Executive Director. 

 

In 2013, Coach Mac successfully completed an internship at Savannah State University's athletic department, specifically working with the Compliance Department. This experience broadened his understanding of collegiate sports regulations and allowed him to research and interpret NCAA Division I by-laws. Coach Mac also organized education and training programs for coaches, support staff, and student-athletes, ensuring a thorough knowledge of NCAA rules. His expertise and efforts promote compliance, fairness, and integrity within collegiate sports.

 

Collaborating closely with the Assistant Athletic Director at Savannah State University, Coach Mac adeptly managed financial aid awards and facilitated disbursements for books and supplies, ensuring our student-athletes receive the essential support required to excel both academically and athletically. His attention to detail allowed for the athletic department to remain in compliance regarding NCAA requirements to hours allowed for practice.

From 2013 to 2021, Coach Mac served as the Varsity Head Volleyball Coach and Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach at Battery Creek High School in Beaufort, SC. He exhibited unparalleled dedication and unwavering commitment to the programs. Throughout his tenure, he displayed exceptional leadership, overseeing all facets of practice and game management, which greatly influenced the teams' achievements on and off the court.

In addition to his role as our Executive Director, Coach Mac also has a successful career as a school Guidance Counselor at River Ridge Academy in Bluffton, South Carolina. His passion for guiding and supporting students extends beyond the volleyball court, as he plays an integral role in helping students navigate their academic and personal journeys.
